The Zucchini 600 is a competition to see who can build the fastest, most creative, and most nutritious cars out of zucchini. There will be two divisions: pre-built and built in the Pit Stop, and three age groups: 8 and under, 9-13, and 14-18. Three awards will be given in each age group: fastest, most creative, and most nutritious.

Racers are encouraged to use their imaginations, but motors, batteries, explosives, and fireworks are prohibited. Racers are encouraged to build their cars during the Pit Stop workshop, from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, at the Farmer’s Market located at the corner of Oak Avenue and Dale Earnhardt Boulevard. Free zucchinis and additional supplies will be provided.

If racers are unable to make it to the Pit Stop workshop, they will be able to build their cars the morning of the races from 10-11:45 a.m.at the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival. Free zucchini and additional supplies will be available during this time as well. You can also build your car at home and bring it to the festival.
