Stephanie Griffin graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and shortly after was hired as an office assistant in the University’s Health Sciences Library. After two years, Stephanie advanced to Interlibrary Loan Borrowing and Billing Specialist, a position she held for the next 13 years.
During her tenure with the Health Sciences Library, Stephanie’s main responsibility involved acquiring research materials for faculty, staff and students of UNC-Chapel Hill Health Affairs Departments as well as UNC Hospitals. She also processed payments and invoices, compiled monthly statistics and prepared the annual financial cost analysis study to assist the Library Director and the Triangle Research Libraries Network Consortium in budget preparation.
In 2015, Stephanie earned two awards for her service to the field. She was the recipient of the University of North Carolina Health Science Library Award for Dedicated Service for Steadfast Commitment and Service, and also received the Star Heel Award for Outstanding Efforts on behalf of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Stephanie joined the Cabarrus Arts Council staff in November 2016, and looks forward to furthering her knowledge of nonprofit organizational systems.
