Brittany Little was born in Cornelius, NC. She received a BFA in photography from UNCC in 2015. She’s had a camera in her hand since she was 15 and really likes to focus on photographing the things that are right in front of her, so family tends to be her main subject. She’s had photos in galleries across the city and continues to grow her body of work.
My Grandmother’s Things: This body of work examines my connection with my grandmother, through a collection of her belongings that my parents held onto after her death. I took the memories that I had of her everyday life, and mimicked them with the objects that were left in our possession. I’m hoping that the viewer is able to relate to the nostalgia and sense of home in some of these images, a snapshot of the southern grandmother.
