DESCRIPTION:Live audio and lighting workshop where you get your hands on equipment that professionals use and start to build a vocabulary of what live AV professionals use. When you know the vocabulary of the industry you make yourself a better prospect for companies and artists looking to hire people who stand out and are passionate and willing to be taught. This workshop is intended for those who have an interest in what happens behind the scenes at concerts or live events where professional AV gear is used. In this focused workshop you will explore the surface of what it takes to be a lighting designer and build a lighting show. You also will learn and experience the basics of what it means to Mix a band and create a professional experience for every audience member. \n\nThis workshop will be a 3-session workshop from 5:30-7:30pm each session. Ages 15-20 years old.

DESCRIPTION:Get ready to create a stunning quilted wallhanging inspired by the Goddess of Truth in this fun\, hands-on workshop! \n\n\n\n\nCreate a stunning quilted wallhanging to add to your home decor! In this workshop you will learn Seminole piecing\, quilt binding and sashing\, and hand-work embellishments to make your wallhanging uniquely yours. \nAll supplies are included (plus tea\, water\, and snacks). A limited number of classroom sewing machines are available; you are welcome to bring your own. This workshop is for all sewing levels\, although some familiarity with sewing is helpful. \nThere are three workshop sessions offered: Friday\, August 21\, 10am-2pm; Friday\, August 21\, 5pm-9pm; Sunday\, August 23\, 2pm-6pm.
