Gift Shop Submissions
The Galleries Gift Shop helps to support and promote artists from North Carolina and surrounding states by offering unique, hand-crafted artwork for sale. Our inventory includes greeting cards, pottery, jewelry, glass, prints, books, wooden goods, original art and much more.
Artists who are interested in selling their work in The Galleries Gift Shop are invited to submit a proposal for review. Artists are selected quarterly.

The Galleries Submissions
The Galleries are committed to artistic excellence, diversity, and educating our community with visual art from around the world. The Visual Arts Director designs gallery exhibitions and selects artists for group and solo exhibitions.
Artists who wish to be considered may submit materials to the Visual Arts Director according to our guidelines. Selection of artists is at the sole discretion of the Cabarrus Arts Council. Exhibitions at The Galleries rotate on an eight to ten-week schedule, are typically thematic in concept, and combine fine art with craft. Artistic excellence is the standard.

Guest Curator Proposals
The Cabarrus Arts Council invites proposals from experienced and visionary curators to guest curate one of four annual exhibitions in The Galleries. Each exhibit should celebrate diverse, compelling voices in the arts, showcasing regional and national artists across varied media, while aligning with the Arts Council’s mission of inspiring, engaging, and fostering community through the arts.

Grants
The Cabarrus Arts Council allocates thousands of dollars annually to support arts organizations and cultural programs across Cabarrus County. Funding for these grants comes from the North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts funding and additional foundation grants from the Mariam & Robert Hayes Charitable Trust.
The Cabarrus Arts Council thanks the North Carolina General Assembly and the North Carolina Arts Council for the Grassroots Grants Program. Grants are awarded through a competitive process that is reviewed by a panel of community citizens. No recipients are guaranteed from year to year.
