Breakfast for the Arts is a fast-paced feelgood hour designed to get you in, entertained, and off on your way with a full heart and belly.

Since 2002, Breakfast for the Arts has been one of the Cabarrus Arts Council’s premier fundraisers, dedicated to championing local artists with your generous support.

Local Art Lift Applications Open

Each year, the Cabarrus Arts Council commissions local artists to create unique pieces that serve as centerpieces at our annual fundraiser, Breakfast for the Arts.

Applications are now open for Local Art Lift 2027! We’re looking for three Cabarrus County artists to create original centerpieces for our annual Breakfast for the Arts fundraiser.

Selected artists will:

Receive a $1,500 honorarium
Create 30 original centerpiece artworks
Be featured throughout our Breakfast for the Arts event promotions
Connect with hundreds of community members during one of our biggest events of the year

Deadline to apply: October 9

Artists working in painting, photography, pottery, wood, basketry, glass, mixed media, and sculpture are encouraged to apply.
