Surface pattern design is everywhere—on clothing, wallpaper, journals, phone cases, and more. Behind every one of those products is an artist who created a repeating design. In this class, that artist will be you! We’ll start by drawing motifs—the small illustrations or shapes that form the building blocks of a pattern. Then, step by step, you’ll learn how to arrange those motifs into seamless, professional-looking patterns using only Procreate on your iPad. No Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Creative Suite required. Whether you’re curious about turning your art into products, building a portfolio, or simply exploring a new creative outlet, surface pattern design is a powerful skill that opens doors to both fun projects and professional opportunities.
