Piedmont Choral Society Presents: Celebrate America

“Celebrate America” Concert to Honor the Legacy of World War II Veterans and America’s Heroes
CONCORD, NC — In a moving tribute to the men and women who served our nation, the community is invited to join the powerful voices of The Piedmont Choral Society for its 20th annual patriotic concert, Celebrate America, a musical event dedicated to honoring America’s veterans — especially the treasured generation of World War II heroes whose numbers grow fewer with each passing year.
This year’s concert carries special meaning as the community pauses to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of the World War II generation. Organizers hope to fill the sanctuary with veterans dressed proudly in uniform, seated among family, friends, neighbors, and over 100 choir members lifting their voices in gratitude and remembrance.
“There is something profoundly emotional about seeing our veterans in uniform while patriotic music surrounds them,” organizers shared. “To witness these heroes sitting in a room filled with more than 100 singers honoring them through song is something unforgettable. It is not simply a concert — it is a living tribute to those who defended freedom for generations to come.”
As America approaches a time when many World War II veterans may no longer be with us, the concert seeks to preserve their stories, recognize their sacrifices, and give the community an opportunity to thank them while they can still hear the applause and feel the love of a grateful nation.
The event will feature stirring patriotic selections performed by community singers from across the region. Audience members can expect an evening filled with pride, reflection, and heartfelt appreciation for veterans of all branches of service, including a special tribute recognizing POWs and MIAs.
The Piedmont Choral Society has invited veterans, active-duty military, families, churches, civic organizations, and community members to attend and participate in this extraordinary celebration of patriotism and remembrance.
Community singers were also invited to join the chorus for this special event. No audition or membership fees were required, making the concert accessible to anyone who wishes to honor veterans through music and fellowship.

“This concert is about more than music,” organizers said. “It is about ensuring our veterans know their sacrifices are remembered. It is about seeing them honored not quietly, but publicly, passionately, and with great love. For many in attendance, it may become one of the most meaningful patriotic moments they ever experience.”
The Celebrate America concert stands as a reminder that freedom has a cost — and that the men and women who paid that price should never be forgotten.
