Family Day at the Cabarrus Arts Council including an Art Walk Pop-Up
Join us in The Galleries to create a wonderful piece of jewelry with alternative materials as well as enjoy the Art Walk Pop up & A Sensory Friendly Performance in the Davis Theatre! We’re bringing you a selection of makers and creators selling all things wearable, including crocheted creations and handmade jewelry. In the Davis Theatre, enjoy a FREE Sensory Friendly Chamber Music Concert with Dr. Elizabeth Sullivan & Friends! Have you ever wanted to take your kids to a classical music concert but were worried they may not be able to handle the environment? We are partnering with Dr. Elizabeth Sullivan, music professor at UNC Charlotte, and her colleagues to provide a child-friendly musical concert that will also be performed in a way that invites neurodivergent children to enjoy the experience. We will have sensory tools, a quiet space for overstimulation, and other materials to have kids feel as comfortable as possible while enjoying the music! The performance starts at 1p.m. The crafts will end at 4p.m. All Ages Welcome; FREE; No Registration Required; For more information, call the Cabarrus Arts Council at 704-920-2787
