Have you ever been to a show or market and yearned for one of the handmade grass or needle baskets. Now is your opportunity to learn how to make your own Pine Needle Basket. In this weaving workshop you will learn the basic steps to making a coiled pine needle mini basket. You will start your basket with a wrapped coil or epoxy centerpiece as the base. Shakeeka will provide centerpieces but if you have a piece you would like to bring and use in your basket, it must have holes drilled in the edges so it can be attached by thread. There is no additional materials cost. The instructor will provide all materials including the centerpieces for your basket. Class will be limited to 10 people to ensure that the instructor can work with each of you during the class. No experience is needed just a little creativity and a lot of patience.
