We want to invite you to come and engage in our cultural experience this November through January! We will present an exhibition called “Generations: Highlighting Indigenous Peoples, Cultures and Artwork.” This exhibit, in partnership with the Melungeon Heritage Association and the Catawba Cultural Center, will showcase and educate communities on the culture of Native Americans and Indigenous peoples. It will be on display from November 12th, 2024, to January 11th, 2025. Along with this exhibit, we will also have a cultural experience that will allow community members to gain insight into the history and culture of indigenous peoples. We will have a storyteller, drummer, and a documentary showcasing the history of Afro-Indigenous people (and much more).  We hope that you come out and support the local tribal members who are participating in this work of art and connect with the community. We also have an open call that has begun circulating. We are extending the invitation to those who are not affiliated with a partner to participate if they would like. All submissions are subject to approval for accuracy and intention of artwork. I have provided the link for your use if you would like to circulate it amongst your audiences. For more information or to submit your work, visit www.cainarts.org/generations-open-call/
