An American Choral Landscape
The 50 voice Piedmont Choral Society will present its free spring concerts titled "An American Choral Landscape" on Friday, May 4 at 7 pm and again on Sunday, May 6 at 3 pm at Forest Hill UMC, 265 Union Street North, Concord. All selections are by American composers with words by American poets. Favorites such as Shenandoah, America the Beautiful, gorgeous hymn settings and up beat spirituals will be sung. The director is Joseph Judge, associate professor of music at Pfeiffer University and Music Director at Central Methodist church in Albemarle. Dr. Don Simmons is accompanist.
