Artist Statement
I am a jewelry artist who is attracted to small and interesting stories in everyday life that express genuine emotions. For me, these stories feel like small but shining treasures forgotten by others. But, I, as a traveling person, as a storyteller, pick them up and transfer them into refreshing wearable arts. My stories come from wide fields such as literature books, my own experiences, and research into psychology. I transfer personal experiences and intuitive feelings into images, and then collect the information from the forms and colors of the images to transform them into jewelry work. Because I pay attention to small things in life, it is easy for me to collect a wide range of unconventional materials from daily life, such as plastic, textiles, and found objects. I transform and repurpose these materials into jewelry, and give them special texture, distinct tactile, and new meaning during my creation.
